Gortys, Phaistos and Matala beach

Private tour to the southern part of Crete, visiting two archaeological sites of notable influence. Gortys, which was also the capital of Crete and Phaistos, the second most important site of minoan civilazation, known for the world famous Phaistos Disc(exhibited in the Arcaeological Museum of Heraklion).

Then, we will proceed to one of the most popular beaches on the island, Matala. The caves on the north cliff were created in the neolithic age and sheltered hippies from around the world in 1960s.
